Healing Hands Ministries - www.hhmtx.orgHealing Hands Ministries Medical & Dental Clinic is located in the heart of Dallas with the highest density of Section 8 Housing, where 60 percent of the children are on free/reduced lunch, a key poverty indicator. They are the working poor – many on the brink of homelessness. As a grassroots, volunteer-driven community-based organization, Healing Hands Ministries is a beacon of hope providing reliable, efficient, low-cost medical and dental care to the neediest of these – in a nurturing, welcoming environment. Healing Hands Ministries receives no government funding and relies solely on community volunteers, donors and businesses. The clinic partners with Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and is a medical home for their uninsured patients rather than the patients utilizing the hospital ER as a primary care provider. Healing Hands Ministries is a health care model that takes no tax-payer dollars, yet saves tax-payers millions. The Clinic is growing exponentially, and continues to grow daily as the need increase. There are so many stories of success, and yet, still much need.
